We are very excited that Mr. Internet® Michael Russer has focused his March ePower newsletter on our Extreme Web Site Makeover of GoArmyHomes.com. We are equally excited that GoArmyHomes broker Linda Jefferson has reported a sevenfold increase in business in just the last month, including her first luxury home listing — all this in spite of the fact that she has been so busy with her efforts on behalf of soldiers that she has rarely stepped foot in her office!

Linda is one of the most inspiring people we've ever known. It has been an honor to have been peripherally involved in Linda's team's successful effort to bring ABC's Extreme Home Makeover to Lawton, OK to build a home for the family of Retired Staff Sergeant Gene Westbrook. Today, February 22, the keys to a fabulous new home will be turned over to the Westbrook family. extreme web site makeover goes live

Our Web site design for Linda Jefferson of Fort Sill, Oklahoma has been one of the most enjoyable projects ever. Linda is truly inspiring. Her new Point2 site began generating leads as soon as it went online even though the previous incarnation of her site had never generated a lead. Her business — with both military and non-military clients — has increased sevenfold since the new site's launch and she has received her first luxury home listing.

"I got a call this morning from a woman who found my site on Point2Homes. She told me that before their new assignment to Fort Sill, they had been at three other bases. Before every move, she checks out homes on the Internet. She said, "This is the most impressive real estate site that I've ever seen.'"

Last week another woman called and said, "This is incredible! You have all the information I need to move to Fort Sill, right here in one place on your site. I don't need to go anywhere else — I can find everything from your home page!'"

Yesterday I was showing houses to a youth minister from Witchita Falls and his wife. I didn't even realize until we got to the third house that they had found me from our Web site, and he's not even military. They said, "We loved your Web site; it's so beautiful.'"

a site with exceptional style for joe janus, a classy REALTOR® with exceptional style

Differentiating yourself in a crowded, competitive market like Phoenix can be challenging. Since I'm addicted to watching "House Hunters" on HGTV, I know that many people shop for homes reflecting their favorite design style. Joe loved the idea of focusing on style but decided that the Phoenix market might not support our first direction, contemporary homes. So we focused instead on all the home styles that can be defined in the Phoenix MLS. To further help people find outstanding homes and to position himself as knowledgeable about architectural styles, Joe watches for exceptional homes to come on the market, then writes about them in his blog and includes links directly to the listings for each home. Excerpts from his blog are then pulled in to his Advanced Access home page through an RSS feed.

Joe is always great, but possibly the nicest thing I can say about him is that that he didn't slam down the phone when Cherie and I called to sing a Marilyn Monroe-style "Happy Birthday" duet in his honor.
